I will never forget feeling terrible in my body. Weak, despite being physically strong. Broken, despite doing the “things you’re supposed to do to avoid injury”.
Tired, but pushing through workout after workout because surely that would help me feel better. Pessimistic, worried, and terrified of a future that looked bleak. It was like I’d gotten on a train that was going in a direction I didn’t want to be heading, and it was just about too late to get off the train.
I would be embarrassed to tell you this was me fifteen years ago except that I know there’s folks out there who have felt this way or are feeling this way right now. Maybe you feel this way, too?
