"This Has Changed My Outlook On What A Body Is Capable Of"
1. I have grown an arch!
Strengthening both of my feet was the main driver for signing on to your program. Both of my feet have hammer toes and fallen arches, the left collapsing more than the right. I have had orthotics for over ten years and stopped wearing them a number of years ago. My calves would be really sore after skiing and hiking.
Initially, the short foot exercise was more entertainment than exercise as my foot wouldn't move but that has changed. I have noticed that the arch in my left foot is becoming the new normal and noticed soreness on the outside of my left foot from putting more weight on that part of the foot.
My calves are not as tight and sore. I understand I have a ways to go before I am able to wear minimal footwear all day every day but I am very pleased with my progress (note the photos).
Also, I can now walk around the house barefoot or wear minimalist shoes for several hours a day or walk 1-2 miles with minimal calf soreness the next day. Previously, my calves would be very sore and take several days to feel better.
The progress was very incremental in the beginning but it seems like the progress snowballs as time goes on.
2. My shoulders and neck have improved.
I have had tight scalenes and SCM muscles in the past which led to headache, and painful hands. In strengthening my shoulders, my neck feels a lot better and not nearly as tight.
My left shoulder has had a painful knot under the shoulder blade that won't go away and it feels much better.
Additionally, I used to massage my shoulders and back daily with lacrosse ball but the knots never really went away. My shoulders and back feel better, less tight now. This is not to say that don't have knots, but less constant.
3. My low back is getting stronger.
I sit up straight for longer periods of time.
I am pleased with my progress and look forward to the next stage.
One of the my greatest learnings from 2018 is that a foot arch can be developed. This has changed my outlook on strength training and what my body is capable of.
Thanks again for making it easier for me to build a better body."

1 Year Update From Scott:
I am writing to say Thank You!
Two years ago, in my mid thirties, I felt broken. I was in a cycle of working out then getting hurt, struggling through and then starting the cycle again. I was frustrated because I was in pain and my body was the limiting factor in playing outside with my wife and friends.
A year ago, after reading a bunch of resources online, I took the plunge and signed up for your Unbreakable Body program. My feet was one of the broken parts and your program is unique in that it specifically includes strengthening them.
I have followed your program for the past year and I am confident to say that it has made me stronger and I am not broken. I went from not being able to cook dinner in the kitchen barefoot without sore calves to now I can walk a mile in “barefoot” shoes and beginning to run in those same shoes pain free. I am barefoot in the house all day with no pain.
My shoulders and upper back, an area I didn’t consider as broken, have gotten stronger and they feel better along with my neck. Additionally, my grip strength has improved.
Recently I spent a couple of days helping my father-in-law around his place doing a bunch of outdoor chores. I was surprised to find that I was not limited by my weakness and not sore or injured afterward.
I am sold on the importance of strength training and being strong. Being strong does make life easier and more fun.
Thanks again, Scott
